All of our trainers are approved and certified NPORS Trainers and Testers.

Founded in 1992, NPORS was formed to challenge the status quo within the construction industry and we are as dedicated to the goal of ensuring standards today as the day it all began. NPORS stands firm on the principles it was founded on; supporting industry, regulated training and testing, consistent improvement, equal opportunities and transparency about how we work. Since it’s beginnings, NPORS has continued to progress to be a trusted and recognised name in the industry, offering employers a credible training alternative.

At NPORS, we believe that everyone who operates any form of machinery should be qualified and competent to protect their safety and the safety of others. This is why we meet and maintain standards by providing regulated training and testing by those professionally qualified to do so.

We are proud to be able to offer employers the flexibility to train their workforce on site as well as at dedicated test centres. By offering training and assessments on site with the equipment that would be used every day, this mitigates the risk of any issues with transferring skills from different training equipment when working on site.

Maintaining quality and supporting our customers is always a priority for us. Through our quality assurance system, we always guarantee standards and this system includes a dedicated monitoring team. They regularly audit our training providers to ensure they meet the regulated standards whilst also supporting them with any queries they may have, so there is always a point of contact.

We have been supporting industry since 1992 and continue to do so. NPORS provides a service where we ensure consistent regulated standards, whilst also maintaining communication with our customers.

In line with the Government Strategy for Construction for a single logo that card schemes can work to, and as a result of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC) decision to award the single logo status to CSCS; the NPORS Construction Operator Card is issued in line with the requirements stipulated by the CLC and displays the CSCS logo.

NPORS (Traditional) Operator Card

For those who operate in industry sectors other than construction and therefore not subject to the requirement to hold an operator card bearing the CSCS logo, NPORS has retained its traditional operator card.

Though the standards applied to this route and the methods of achievement are exactly the same as those applied to the NPORS / CSCS operator card route the NPORS traditional card does not bear the CSCS logo as non-construction industry sectors in the main do not have the same requirements as the construction sector i.e., trained operator card – VQ achievement – competent operator card.

End users have the option to select 3- or 5-year registrations for this card dependent on any sector specific or in-company requirements.

N.B. For those operating in the construction sector the NPORS / CSCS card route should be followed.
